Psychic Tarot Reading Referrals

Saturday, January 14th, 2006

I have finally accepted that I don’t like referrals much. Now that’s so against traditional “business strategies” as receiving referrals and word-of-mouth is what sustains a business — so is, “repeat customers” but I believe neither of these *strategies* are productive or positive experiences for reader or seeker..

Why?

On Referrals and Word-of-Mouth

Situation: The original seeker rants and raves about the readers abilities as the reading went above and beyond the seeker’s expectations but the referree doesn’t feel the same after their reading. Why does that happen? It’s simple. The expectations have been raised a few notches. Whereas if they came to you on their own, they would have more likely ranted and raved as well. 🙂

So I think I’m going to start downplaying referrals as I do not believe they are the best method for giving awesome readings.

On Repeat Customers

When I give a reading, it’s fairly complete, empowering, and energizing. I would rather develp in the seeker heart, mind, and soul to believe in their own intuition and life unravelling as it should be than to have them continuously coming back to me. Again, I don’t think that’s positive or productive.

Having said that, consulting the Tarot, oracles, or other divinatory methods, for handling today’s issues, is a “really great” opportunity and I’m happy to help others navigate their choice, options, challenges, and strengths. For example I’m a life, business, and spiritual coach and coaching is definately an on-going sort of relationship.

I guess I need to reframe what it is that I do and to cultivate the type of seekers in my practice that would most benefit from my way of reading. *grin*

As for “repeat seekers”, who like to seek “future oriented” predictions, I would be more happy to see them once or twice a year then every other week or once a month (which is traditional business strategy — then again, I’m not traditional and I’m people-focused). Hmmmm….

See related entry for address & telephone number.

During a walk on the Danforth (just east of Pape on the north side — search for the wishing well in the window) I popped in to talk with Natasha, the owner of Awakenings, and I was so thankful that I did. The scent was superb, uplifting, and the walls were a wonderful shade of green (not sure how I missed that last time), and we had a soul talk. That was nice. She may even hold some seminars soon — stay tuned.

Visit. You will be happy that you did!

My Internet has been down so I haven’t posted a lot lately. So much to say about my adventures in psi phenomena.

One of my Favourite Tarot Reading Decks for Professional Tarot Readings

Friday, January 6th, 2006

I was asked which Tarot decks I like to use for professional Tarot readings and my reply was thus:

One of my favourites is Revelations. I wasn’t actually going to “reveal” the Tarot cards that I use but I want to ensure that this deck stays in existence and the only way that can happen is if there is a large demand for them. 🙂 So your request is synchronistic.

See Example Images

Revelations is a deck that can be read without knowing what the Tarot cards mean “if” one is visually oriented, likes abstract and a lot of things going on, and trusts their intuition. The Revelations deck has reverse meaning images too — totally breathtaking and the only cards that I know that has this. This makes it “very easy” to read reverse meanings without having to “memorize” reverse meanings. Personally I am a visual/verbal, abstract person, who relies on intuition even though I know the standard meanings of each card upright and reversed. It’s just a “pleasure” to work with these cards especially when it’s reversed since I get to use my eyes too.

Wong is also a wonderfully *nice* person so I want to support him.

Perhaps at some point I will write up a review that honour’s these cards more. And further, I may reveal more of the decks that I use which are “not popular” but amazing decks. Once a deck or book goes out of print, it costs a lot of money to get or is virtually impossible to get. So I often pick up 2-3 decks at a time but I thought I might start revealing these decks, especially if the creator is an awesome person — like Wong and maybe I won’t have to do this anymore. lol Win/Win
