Funny, Disrespectful, Scamming, Cranky Callers to a Psychic Business

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

One of the hazards (or joys) of offering psychic services is getting “cranky” calls.  No, I don’t mean pissy people on the other end of the phone — though that happens.  I mean, people pulling a joke or being silly.

My assistant usually answers the phone out of hours and let me know someone called asking about the number 42 and that other psychics told him to contact a numerologist.   My assistant took his email address (which included the number 42 — lol) and then said we would contact him back in regards to setting up an appointment to discuss his relationship with the number 42 (btw, the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42 — The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) and why he keeps seeing it.  He even had it in his email address (um, that’s why you keep seeing it?  lol)

Anyway, he called back again and this time I answered.

This time he asks for Robert Petrungaro (another reader who works with numerology) and I asked the caller how he found my number and he said, “The Holistic Directory” and I said –“It’s kind of late to call for a booking (10:30pm on a Saturday).  I don’t take people so seriously when they call outside of business hours.  Email is fine but phoning like you are (twice — once saying he’s calling around about the number 42 and another asking for another reader who does not reside at that telephone number) makes me question their seriousness”.  And he said, “He was serious and wanted to get a reading that night and he had been calling around to people”.  And I said, “If you are serious, you would try to avoid a same day reading (when not about a time sensitive question), would find out more about the Service professional you want to see but investigating them on the Internet (that’s why we have websites) AND call at a decent hour.”  He then said I was the meanest person he had talked to that night out of all the psychics he had called.  And you know what, I’m happy about that.  It’s a compliment.  Because historically I have been far too kind to people and have spent upwards of an hour a pop on “cranks”.  I have finally got the courage to speak my truth and not be concerned about how I’m coming across.  I don’t go out of my way to behave nasty and I wasn’t really — I was firm and explained things how I saw it:  You are not serious, don’t respect psychics, and I’m not interested in a conversation with you.  This was about boundaries and I felt good expressing what mine were.

Funny thing my husband, earlier in the day, was chatting about 42 being the year I become “rich and famous” lol… And then he calls.  One of those “weird, synchronistic” moments.

How Long Is It Okay To Say: HAPPY NEW YEAR?

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010
A question was posed on Virgin Radio:  “How long is it okay to say Happy New Year”.
My responseS — a month, when the newness wears off, but better yet — for as long as we feel hopeful that it will continue to be happy.
BUT I think we should mix up the sayings… like “Have a great year!”, “Enjoy 2010”, “This is your year”, “It’s going to be a beauty”… etc… Change it up…
It’s the repetitive phrase that’s boring to constantly hear…
Challenge — How long can you say Happy New Year and get away with it without anyone noticing?? 🙂

National Post: My comment on Psychic predicts assassination of Obama in 2010 :(

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/posted/archive/2009/12/29/psychic-predicts-assassination-of-obama-in-2010.aspx?

*sigh*

It’s unfortunate that these Negative and Deathly predictions have been posted to such a reputable paper.

As a professional psychic, I am often under the (rightfully so) questionable eyes and ears of people and it’s, in part, due to this type of negative media exposure.

In the past, I have been asked by reporters to do a piece on predictions and because my predictions are in large part — POSITIVE — I don’t get printed and they move on to something more sensational.

What is wrong with this world? This reporter or their editor would not have run this article if it wasn’t going to get the interest of the papers’ readership!

Now, in regards to predictions… Just because I’m a psychic, it doesn’t mean my “only” value is as a predictor or forecaster. In fact, I’m often not very good at “general world” predictions anyway. “What?!”, you say?

Yes, I can be a very good psychic and not do very well at general predictions. “Well isn’t that your job my dear lady?” Not quite. My value is in seeing the past, the present, and the possibilities of the future. My value is in giving insights, reporting on my observations that are so plain to me but not often to others, support, care, and common sense advice. It’s also in the ability to listen deeply and to pull positive solutions from my right brain (the universe) to help another have more positive futures.

My focus is on the freewill of the seeker. If they don’t like what I see, they can change it with often an incredible amount of hard work. But it doesn’t take a psychic to predict that a lot of people don’t like working for what they want or need and that if you keep doing what you have already done, you are going to get more of the same.

Plainly, people have a hard time doing what’s good for them and they will often use a psychic as a scapegoat to explain away the bad things that happen/ed to them. This is a hazzard of my job and a money break for unethical psychics praying on the vulnerable. I say: Let’s put these kinds of psychics out of business. Go to a Crisis center or work with a licensed professional when in a seriously emotional state.

By the way, my service preferences as a psychic are Psychic Life Coaching, Past Life Recall, Personality Profiling, and Fun Paranormal Games that we play at Club Jucy!! 🙂

What I’m getting at, is that not all psychics are the same, as much as the general public would like to clump us in all together: http://www.knowtheway.ca/readings/types-of-psychic-readings.html

And like the weather or a sports forecast, a psychic prediction can have a way of not coming true if it is willed and sometimes that’s a very good thing. Positive protective vibes wrapping around Obama — Long Live Obama!!

Heh, if skeptics want to try me out on my FREE reading days — just sign up to my Free Psychic Reading Days newsletter so I can alert you of my last minute freebies and give me a go. Please do not clump all psychics together. We, as you, are unique individuals.
