Movie: The Gift — Creep Factor

Saw The Gift.

Someone called about a week or so ago to talk to me about a potential reading with her and her husband. They never did call me back; however, while talking she mentioned watching this movie. We were talking about how being a psychic could be a dangerous job especially when working with couples (and one isn’t involved in the reading).

I don’t work with Santeria, Voodoo, Black Magic, or Anything Negative (not that I believe Santeria or Voodoo is negative but a lot of people looking for it want to practice it in negative ways) and it bothers me when I speak with someone who does. Some people believe hexes have been placed on them and their loved ones and honestly these very same people seem to be quite negative and challenging themselves so I guess it’s hard to say what’s really going on but be sure I don’t want to talk to *anyone* who has negative words to say about others. It’s one thing to be angry and upset but it’s another to think one is a total angel and have no idea why bad things might be happening to them — that’s not taking any responsibility for what comes at them in life.

It was pretty creepy to watch the show though I’m not certain why she was using “Zener” cards for her readings. I have used them to practice telepathy but for readings?… hrmm

Some spots seemed true while other’s did not. Thankfully I don’t really have visions since I’m not clairvoyant in that way. Though I would like to see *some* visions, I just don’t want to see anything “bad” which is why I block that part off. Which is why most people are NOT clairvoyant. It’s because they don’t want to be. Imagine the weight put on your shoulders if you were.

When she was doing a reading for the lady at the end and she said she was happy that the woman who was fooling around with her husband was dead and if the reader could “read her thoughts” and how she shivered and just closed up the cards. I have had that. I had that today. It’s when someone shares their negative energy with me “on purpose”! Of course the sitter doesn’t understand at all why we can’t read for them. *sigh* You are not getting your haircut done.

Though I do my best to avoid this with different techniques sometimes the odd negative energy gets through. This psychic stuff can be more of a curse than a blessing… really, especially when people are fixed in their ways, have psychological problems that includes hurting others, and they are unable to move forward.

“They each lash out at Annie and her Zener cards for providing the exact objectivity they sought. Fortune telling is like any other profession that involves consultation: if comfort and the truth are exclusive, people generally prefer the former.” Filmfreak

Funny? physics and psychics

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

Does anyone else find it strange or funny that physics sounds and spells almost like psychics? I wonder what the etymology is on that but I don’t wonder enough to do research.

The ESP Psychic Fair Experience — Continued

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

As I was standing in line waiting for a “free reading” since I a) was in no position to purchase a paid reading, b) wanted to see what a free reading was all about (experience). I was asked which psychics at the fair I thought were the best and out of about 25 or so psychics, including two *public and well known* psychics (whom I didn’t resonate with at all) I only felt that less than a handful were “the real deal”.

Three psychics stood out as the “best psychics” at the fair and I explain why.

1. Claire Shoniker Brickus When I saw her she had her eyes closed and she was divining. Her energy was pure and she’s doing this for the right reason. Hopefully she will be at the next Expo as I would like to see her.

2. Asian lady (Jennifer 416 -694-5333) Offering positive and genunine insights and guidance. It wasn’t what the sitter wanted to hear but it’s what she “needed” to hear. The real deal psychics do NOT pander to clients.

“I was born in Rangoon, Burma into a Chinese family. I am a practising Buddhist and since birth been gifted with a special energy from the Universe. I can see, sense, and hear things.

I believe in the past life and reincarnation. I know deep down that somehow, somewhere there is a Universal force that guides us. Things do not happen by coincidence.

My arrival in Canada was a miracle. Strangers extended helping hands. My American mother gave me unconditional love and never asked for anything in return.

I want to repay her love by helping other people and in my humble capacity, to guide them. If I can show a little seed of love in whomever I contact I will be extrememly grateful to have an opportunity to serve and to awake in them their higher self to achieve whatever their free will may choose.

I am just a servant of God and the energy of the Universe. I will do my best to provide guidance for human spiritual growth. I am sincerely here to help. I respect each person’s integrity. I am never here to judge.

If you decide to choose me and to have discussions with me, I will be deeply honoured.
May you all find inner peace.
May your soul guide you to a higher self.
May God bless you all.

P.S. A portion of your fee will be donated to: 1. Doctors Without Borders and 2. The Toronto Aids Society.”

She was charging $20 for a reading and I didn’t even read this until this very moment. I just “knew” she was good and coming from a higher place!

3. Pickering lady (Laura or Julia) Karmic Crystals & Sunshine Glass karmiccrystals@yahoo.ca 416-208-4642 Undercharging and purely honest. How refreshing.

She/they just had a good presence. I bought crystals from them at 50% off regular prices (could charge more and I told hem that but I’m happy they charged less so I could afford to buy them) and a chakra gem bag with charts (something I focusing on lately)
I wish they had a Web site. Maybe I will find enough time to scan their wonderful brochure.

Of course, the answer to: “who are the best psychics here”, should have been, “well, me!”. 😉

So what makes the “real deal”? Charging a fair price for the services rendered. In fact, all three ladies were charging between $20 and 35 for their readings.

Whereas some were charging a lot more and were not interested in telling me how long the reading would last. So $50 could get me 5 minutes or 30, who would know?

Why does it matter that they are charging a fair price? Because their first consideration is helping as many people as possible. It isn’t about the dollar but about making a living helping people, quality service and goods, and making the fee affordable to most people. In fact, great psychics will give “free readings” to people who demonstrate need; however, we can tell apart those that can afford and don’t want to pay against those who can’t afford and do want to pay.

Yes, I was doing a little research. *wink*
