One of my Favourite Tarot Reading Decks for Professional Tarot Readings

Friday, January 6th, 2006

I was asked which Tarot decks I like to use for professional Tarot readings and my reply was thus:

One of my favourites is Revelations. I wasn’t actually going to “reveal” the Tarot cards that I use but I want to ensure that this deck stays in existence and the only way that can happen is if there is a large demand for them. 🙂 So your request is synchronistic.

See Example Images

Revelations is a deck that can be read without knowing what the Tarot cards mean “if” one is visually oriented, likes abstract and a lot of things going on, and trusts their intuition. The Revelations deck has reverse meaning images too — totally breathtaking and the only cards that I know that has this. This makes it “very easy” to read reverse meanings without having to “memorize” reverse meanings. Personally I am a visual/verbal, abstract person, who relies on intuition even though I know the standard meanings of each card upright and reversed. It’s just a “pleasure” to work with these cards especially when it’s reversed since I get to use my eyes too.

Wong is also a wonderfully *nice* person so I want to support him.

Perhaps at some point I will write up a review that honour’s these cards more. And further, I may reveal more of the decks that I use which are “not popular” but amazing decks. Once a deck or book goes out of print, it costs a lot of money to get or is virtually impossible to get. So I often pick up 2-3 decks at a time but I thought I might start revealing these decks, especially if the creator is an awesome person — like Wong and maybe I won’t have to do this anymore. lol Win/Win

Freewill & Predictions: Timeframes — Accurate or not?

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

Predictions are fickle things. I mainly use one tool for predicting (another for confirming) and then psychic impressions to do the rest. When it comes to dates there are often more than one date that comes up but that’s usually over a period of time.

So if a seeker has one session with a reader and gets one date, that date may come and go without the seeker knowing the details of why it actually “came and went” and nothing happened.

For example, I had predicted that some funding would come in December but I also saw January and April on three separate divinatory sessions. There was no funding in December but it turns out there was “supposed” to be. I would not of known if someone (an insider) had not told me the story around the funding not coming in December. So it may of seemed like the prediction was “wrong” when in fact, there was “supposed” to be funding coming through but it didn’t. This is where freewill steers a prediction astray.

However, I also saw January and then again April — so how could that be? Well, it turns out part of the funding will be coming in January and the other part in April!!

So the moral of the story is this: If a reader predicts a date and it doesn’t come through, it doesn’t always mean the reader is wrong… there could be uncontrollable circumstances that hinder the prediction like the proverbial: freewill!

“wow you are GREAT !!!!!!!!!! you really are !”

I was surprised to get this because the question posed was “When” and hey I have been known to ask Tarot readers (in the past before I went professional) “When will x,y,z happen?”.

As a professional, I understand that When questions are sort of an oxymoron. It’s as if the querant (seeker) expects that the event will happen at some point but just “when”. Now I’m all for positive thinking and stuff but when I do the reading or get the impression and find there is “no” when, I’m in a difficult position.

“Um, there is no when, there’s only a no: There will likely never be a when.”

Of course, I try to leave the “no” to the end after I have talked about what’s going on and such and in this case it was a “no… the two of you will not live happily ever after unless you are willing to make a compromise that I dont’ think you are willing to make” and get this response: “wow you are GREAT !!!!!!!!!! you really are !”

Of course there is freewill, but I look at percentages when forecasting the future — there’s a scale to predictions because of freewill and once a prediction has been “said” that can alter an outcome as well (freewill). If the scale is close to the extreme “no” said, then I suggest the outcome is “unlikely” and if I get pushed for an absolute I might say, “no, but if you do x,y,z — it could change to yes”. They can then decide whether x,y,z is worth their while (which usually it isn’t).

While most others were telling her — yes, it will happen — I wasn’t blindsided by the “when” question and as a person with integrity I “needed” to tell her the truth as it was presented to me. Truth, of course, is subjective and ultimately I do not believe in truth or falsehoods, good or bad; however, I use those terms because of the imagery behind the words.

So, I’m humbled to get such testimonials because somehow Tarot, oracles, and my impressions “work” and at the end of the day, I just want to help people communicate with themselves so they can better communicate with others. I want people to take positive, productive, and meaningful actions towards themselves and the people and issues they care about.
