Clairsentience

Clairsentient. The ability to feel another’s energy (near or far), whether that be voice, body, or word and to then know things about the energy. Different from being empathic although clairsentients can be empathic and vice versa. Psychometry (energy readings from objects) is an off-shoot of clairsentience; however, since I haven’t had too many opportunties to practice this I don’t offer it as a paid service. (I now offer this as part of a paid service! — 03/20/2006)
Claircognizance

Claircognizant. The ability to just “know”. The knowing generally is a word, sentence, phrase, idea, or a piece of knowledge that just comes out of nowhere. Often it doesn’t make sense to the Claircognizant but once expressed out loud it makes sense to others. It’s like a direct tap-in to the akashic records.

Clairvoyance

Clear seeing. In fact “clair” means clear. It’s the ability to see things in picture. It’s not the same as pre-cognition (the ability to see into the future). The clairvoyant is able to see images or scenes as if they were a “fly on the wall” — an invisible observer — or actually in the movie (clairvoyance is not the same as remote viewing). Many of us are clairvoyant in our dreams. If you can see the dream clearly in your mind, you may be experiencing clairvoyance while in dream. Often the pictures are seen while eyes are closed and in a meditative state.

While one could say that this *looks* like an episode of psychotic disorder, it’s not necessarily so.

Clairaudience
Clairaudient. Clear hearing. The ability to hear the thoughts or animals, angels, humans, etc.. The sound can be appeared muffled and very distant even though it’s not.

While one could say that this *looks* like an episode of schizophrenia or shizotypal, it’s not necessarily so.

“A person who doesn’t have the ability to get angry isn’t worth much; but the person who can’t control his anger is worth even less” Edward Cayce on Anger

“…people are always in crisis, always worried about the future… We give so little time to the present and all the joys are in the present.
There’s a saying: The past is a cancelled cheque; the future is a promisary note; today is the only cash you have.” Roshan Talreja M.D.

“Kindness, gentleness, and prayer — these offer the channels to which the greater help may come” Edward Cayce

“He who expects little, will not be dissapointed”. Edward Cayce

NLP: Eye Access Cues and Movements, Myth and Reality

see also this entry.

At the psychic fair I was asked by a couple of strangers who were the best psychics at the fair and really I was stumped. There were public personalities and such but most didn’t stand out. Finally as I pressed myself to remember who *did* stand out it was the psychics who charged less ($20-35). But I will talk about that in another post.

Anyway, it got me thinking of “cold reading” techniques, one of which is Eye Access Cues or Clues 😉

When doing a reading I sometimes catch myself either looking straight into the eyes of the sitter (unless I’m reading the cards) or look up to the sky or up and to my left while looking up to the sky.

It’s been said that liars tend to look down and to their right when they are making things up but it depends on what’s going on as to why they would be doing that.

Calibration is essential in the use of eye-accessing cues. There is a rule-of-thumb that states that about 80% of us will look up and right to construct an internal image, up and left to remember an image or scene, down and to the left when we talk to ourselves in our heads, down and to the right when we are engrossed in a feeling. We also tend to look laterally to our left when we remember a sound, like a song from our earlier years, and laterally to our right when we imagine what something might sound like. BUT!!! This is only a way of introducing eye-access patterns. EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN PARTICULAR set of accessing cues!!! If you rely on a rule-of-thumb, you’ll be significantly wrong a significant number of times, usually when it matters most!. Calibrate to someone first by asking them questions that presuppose a certain type of internal representation. Then, when they’re talking about something that matters, you’ll know how they’re representing that material to themselves internally, and it will give you a more respectful way of communicating with them, by meeting them at their model of the world. Eye accessing cues are also very important in Strategy Elicitation. Read more about Eye Accessing Cues in the book “Frogs into Princes”.

so that’s…

up and to the left — remembering — visual recall
left lateral — sounds — auditory recall
down and to the left — talking to ourselves — Kinesthetic recall

up and to the right — constructing or re-constructing an internal image — visual construct
right lateral — imaging what something might sound — auditory construct
down and to the right — feeling — Kinesthetic construct

Why does any of this matter? Because it might be a way to tell if the psychic is making things up or is actually accessing the akashic records or their memories of your memories or even the meanings of what they see. Just a thought…

1. Claircognizant: (me)

You may be claircognizant or intuitive and have an inner knowing about things. The information, idea, concept or thought “just comes to you” and has the feeling of “this is important”. The knowledge you receive often flashes suddenly into your mind seemingly “out of no where”. You may know who is on the phone before you answer it or know personal things about people you just met. You just know something, although you may not know why or how you know it.

2. Clairaudient: (can but afraid)

You may be clairaudient and psychically hear sounds, words, sentences, thoughts, tones, music, bells, chimes, ringing, whooshing, buzzing, white noise sounds, songs, and other types of sounds or noises that “pop into your head”. You may hear conversations as you fall asleep or wake up between people you may not see. These sounds and words are inaudible to the normal hearing range and most often seem to come from within your head or “out of nowhere”.

3. Clairvoyant: (can but afraid)

You may also be clairvoyant and see pictures flash in your mind’s inner third eye as in-sights. These pictures come as a clear vision or they may be nebulous forms hidden in a cloudy substance. What you see may appear to be superimposed upon a solid object that’s in front of you when your eyes are open or you may see the vision within your forehead when your eyes are closed. When the image is of a psychic origin and you aren’t thinking it up yourself, the image is seen first and then thought about. It is usually not thought up and then seen.

You may psychically see a person, scene, object, lights, words, colors, auras, symbols, past lives, loved ones in spirit, visions of the past, present or future, and people or places in other spiritual dimensions. These pictures may appear as if you are viewing still photographs or they may be moving like a home movie. You may even feel you are actually in the scene you are seeing.

4. Clairsentient: (me)

You may also be clairsentient and perceive information through a sensation within your physical body. You may get a “gut feeling” in your stomach of what to do or say. You may also get a “gut feeling” of what not to say or do. You may even sense the body aches and ill health of someone else not in the room in specific parts of your own physical body. You may also feel the emotions or personality of another person whom you do not know personally or who is not in the room. You may sense the presence of deceased relatives, guides, and angels.

5. Clairgustant: (rarely)

You may be clairgustant and psychically taste a substance, liquid or food without actually putting anything in your mouth.

6. Clariscentrist: (rarely)

You may also be clariscentrist and psychically smell fragrances, flowers, perfume or other odors such as tobacco or alcohol even when a substance or food is not in your immediate surroundings.

Interestingly enough I’m a highly visual person and learn through seeing and listening. Thus, one would think I’m a bring candidate to divine through clairvoyance and clairaudience and I am. However, fear gets in the way. And when I’m not afraid I do see and hear but it has rarely happened in a professional reading and usually when I’m alone.

When I was growing up my mother and sister expressed ESP (clairsentient, telepathic, and claircognizant) abilities so that’s probably why it’s the least frightening to me and I allow it to happen naturally. 🙂
