The Many Faces of Astrology: Christine Jette

Saturday, November 26th, 2005

To take astrology one step further, specialized fields of study, called applications, are entire books and web sites unto themselves. Examples of applied astrology include:

Horary Astrology–Casting a chart for the exact time a question is asked. Based on the idea that the positions of the planets at the moment of asking can help answer the question because there is a sympathy between the cosmos and the human mind.

Astro-Psychology–The counseling aspects of astrology used to help with the challenging, or troublesome, areas of life. Much like psychotherapy or psychology. Using astrological information as a tool for psychological insight.

Medical Astrology–Using the birth chart to obtain information about health, illness and wellness. Especially looks at diseases and their causes through horoscope pattern, psychic imbalances and probable timing through planetary transits.

Mundane Astrology–Assesses and forecasts world events, political movements, national occurrences and cultural trends according to the planetary cycles.

Vocational Astrology–Applies the information in a birth chart to the study of career. It reveals the nature of a person’s vocational needs and loves. Because vocational astrology explores an individual’s “inner calling”, it can produce a better vision of career direction and decrease job frustration.

Synastry–The astrology of relationships. Learning how the birth charts of specific people interact to better understand the dynamics of their relationship.

Electional Astrology–The timing of events. Studying transits to learn favorable times to initiate certain events or take action. By its nature, electional astrology also pinpoints the times to wait for a better day.

Karmic Astrology–Emphasizes spiritual evolution in this life, and lives yet to come, based on past life information. Explores karmic history, values and beliefs brought into this life, and life lessons to improve the quality of life now. Some astrologers refer to this application as Esoteric Astrology.

And the above list is only a sampling. There are other applications! As I wrote earlier, the study of astrology is the pursuit of a lifetime–or two.

http://playthepiano.ca: Play the Piano with Heidi Saario.

Music is such a big part of spiritual life, soulful living, and the installation of harmonious and calming tones to the body. Playing the piano, like any musical instrument, will *connect* you to a higher spiritual vibration — to a meditative state in some cases.

I was quite suprised at the low fees on this Web site. If you are seeking piano lessons, I would contact this teacher. And if you have a 3 or 7 in your numerology chart, it’s all the more important to have this sort of music in your life and at your own hands.

Latest Toronto Special Event — 3 of Cups Psychic Service Provider

(Please note, I do not review or talk about private parties for privacy reasons *grin* but I do advertise/talk about public events where I’m a promotional element or selling my services. This exposure benefits my clients too. *grin*)

I really enjoyed reading for students and teachers alike at George Brown’s Casa Loma campus. One thing that always fascinates me about event readings is the similarity of numeroligical charts and questions (outside of the standard love/money/career realm). The students of the fashion program are highly analytical, mentally creative, and knowledgeable people.

Other than the extra loud music (which I seemed to handle quite well though my voice was a bit hoarse at the end), I was really pleased with the set up and postering created for the psychic reading space. And helping people find clarity, direction, giving them a new and positive experience, and meaningful and productive suggestions is the most rewarding part of what I do. It’s not the money. The money is for material survival; the results are for my soul survival, without soul there is no continuance of money.

And the organizer treated me with such care, respect, and I received a little unexpected gift at the end too. I felt like a V.I.P. which is how I treat every one of the seekers that sits at the Tarot table with me. So it was a nice role reversal for a change. 🙂
